Eastern financiers acquired a vast 24,000-acre tract along the scenic Pedernales River. Their vision and resources transformed this land into one of the greatest Texas ranches of the Nineteenth-century.
The Morris Ranch story unfolds through the triumphs and challenges of taming a wild land, navigating economic booms and busts, and the ranch’s eventual division. Yet, the legacy lives on through the people and places connected to the original ranch.
